ARCHER FISH - BAE SYSTEMS, WATERLOOVILLE
By providing an input at every step we can ensure a close working relationship with our Clients, as in a recent project delivering plastic components and assembled parts for the Archerfish project, where aluminium parts were being converted to plastic, as the product went from development into production.
Rediweld provided advice on component design modelled in 3D using Solidworks with recommendations on material selection and valued engineering to reduce the number of parts and control costs. The manufacture of 14 mould tools was project managed by Rediweld and tools were available 4 weeks ahead of schedule.
NAVIGATOR FOOT - BLATCHFORD PRODUCTS, BASINGSTOKE
Rediweld has worked closely with Blatchford over many years for both rubber and plastic components, supplying more than 80 line items, many of which are assemblies.
When is came to developing one for their core products, the multiflex ankle joint into the new Navigator Foot, this was an important project for our Client. To play our part in the success of the Navigator Foot, Rediweld produced prototype tooling for two key items and through tooling modifications refined the parts to meet the client's requirements. After much product testing, we moved to multi-cavity production tooling and achieved a tight leadtime for the product launch.

As a key Client, Smiths Aerospace source thermoplastic, thermoset and elastomer parts from Rediweld, quality and on time delivery being paramount. Over a period of time we have been able to extend the range of services we offer and we are now working on a broader range of Client programmes including Airbus, Boeing, Eurofighter, Apache and JSF. Crucial to the development of the partnership was an opportunity to work within the Supply Chain Group, where we were the only Company out of 16 to receive a Gold Supplier Award.
Since then, the Customer/Supplier relationship has continued to develop to the benefit of both companies.
